Since its inception, the practice of sustainable agriculture (SA) has been at the forefront of Padek’s work. Farmers are encouraged to use less external inputs (chemical fertilizer, pesticide…) while appropriate agricultural techniques are introduced. The promotion of organic farming in soil improvement, tree planting, farm diversification (crops, animal and fish raising) has helped improve farmers’ production and income while at the same time responding to climate changes.
